The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is a statewide academic honor society that recognizes 10th- 12th grade students for high academic achievement and promotes scholarship, service, and citizenship. This is not a monetary scholarship.
Eligibility for CSF membership is determined by a student’s grades from the previous semester. Students earn CSF points based on letter grades received in approved college-preparatory courses. Courses are divided into subject areas, and students must earn a minimum number of points across these areas to qualify. D or F grades in any course make a student ineligible for that semester. Only courses completed during the semester being evaluated may be used, and grades are not averaged or carried over from other terms. Eligibility is determined strictly by the official transcript; students must review their grades carefully before applying.
CSF membership is applied for each semester, and students must re-qualify based on their most recent grades. Students who earn membership for multiple semesters may be eligible for CSF honors and special regalia at graduation, provided all long-term requirements are met. To recieve honors for graduation, students must qualify for at minimum four semesters, inlcuding one in their senior year.
The Spring 2026 application period is now open. Students can pick up Spring 2026 membership forms in the office and return to Ms. Kobe to see if they qualify. The deadline for Spring 2026 membership forms to be completed is February 13th. It is the student’s responsibility to review the criteria carefully and submit a complete application on time.
If you have questions regarding CSF eligibility or the application process, please contact Ms. Kobe.
