Class of 2026 Parents & Guardians,
There are many exciting and challenging aspects of senior year and we are here to support students and their families with all the steps along the way!
I will be meeting individually with each senior over the next few weeks to discuss graduation status, individual post secondary plans, and an overview of the college application process based on their individual goals. After each student's Senior Meeting, I will share an individual senior meeting document with both the student and parents. The document contains information about each student's graduation status as well as resources for the college application process.
Parents of seniors who are at-risk of not graduating will have already received a letter in the mail.
UC and CSU Applications will close on December 1st. We will be holding College Application Workshops for students during tutorials throughout October and November. This Thursday we will host a special College Application Crash Course for students during tutorial to kick off the application season. Students and parents are welcome to reach out to me for individual application support as needed.
For students applying to community college and trade programs, there will be support and specific workshops in the coming months.
Financial Aid is also a big piece of Senior Year. The FAFSA/CADA is required to receive gift aid from colleges. Each year THS hosts a financial aid night for parents and students to learn more about federal and state student aid and complete the financial aid application. Financial Aid Night will be held on October 22nd.
Local scholarships will be released to students and families in December.
Please keep an eye out for future messaging regarding upcoming incoming events for seniors.
