Parents & Guardians of 10th Grade Students,
In 10th-grade world history class in October, students participated in a presentation on college and career pathways that aimed to help the students prepare for their future beyond high school. The students learned about different types of pathways, such as four-year universities, community colleges, and Trade/Career Technical Education Programs.
In addition to the presentation, students also took an assessment on Naviance, a college/career exploration tool that helped them discover career clusters. The assessment is designed to help the students identify their strengths and interests and match them with potential career paths. By discovering their career clusters, the students can explore careers that align with their interests and strengths, and make informed decisions about their future.
Sophomores will have an opportunity to review their graduation and college prep status in the spring semester during the 2024-2025 course registration process.
Please let me know if you have any questions about college or career pathways or information for parents and students. Thank you for your continued support in your child's education.
