Class of 2024 Parents & Guardians,
There are many exciting and challenging aspects of senior year and we are here to support students and their families with all the steps along the way!
I will be meeting individually with each senior throughout the month of September to discuss graduation status, individual post secondary plans and an overview of the college application process based on their individual goals. Parents of seniors who are at-risk of not graduating will have already received a letter in the mail as well as a phone call from me directly.
UC and CSU Applications are now open through November 30th. We will be holding College Application Workshops for students during tutorials throughout October and November but students are welcome to reach out for individual application support.
Financial Aid is also a big piece of Senior Year. The FAFSA/CADA is required to receive gift aid from colleges. This year the application is being overhauled and has a later opening date than usual. We are still planning on holding a Financial Aid Informational Night in October for parents to learn more about the process and what to expect on the application. We will then hold a Financial Aid Workshop in January after the application opens. Please keep an eye out for further information.
If you have any questions about your student's progress or college/career plans, please reach out to me via email at rachael.kobe@shorelineunified.org
