Safety sign

Dear Shoreline Community,

We are excited that our classes have begun and so happy to see students, families, and staff back for another school year.  The return to school is a good time for us all to remember that we must work together to ensure the health and safety of our community.

Please remember to work closely with your school office whenever your child is experiencing symptoms of illness.  If your child tests positive for COVID-19, they must isolate from school for at least 5 full days (Day 0 is the day symptoms began, or  the day your child tested positive without experiencing symptoms).

Students may return after 5 days if:

  • Symptoms are not present, or are mild and improving; AND

  • You are fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication).

Again, your school office staff is here to support you with navigating the most recent guidelines for COVID 19, as well as any other illness or symptoms that your child may encounter.

We want our students in class, learning with their teachers and peers, for every school day,  Still, we must work together, by taking the appropriate precautions when necessary, to ensure the health and safety of our entire school community.  We look forward to continuing to be your partner keeping our schools healthy and thriving.
