WELCOME TO TOMALES HIGH SCHOOL,
a California Distinguished School.
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE 6/6/16
And just like that, it is the last week of school.
When you think about the individual moments from the year, the victories and celebrations, the crises and compromises, each school year seems to last multiple lifetimes, and I understand why my friends continue to remark about my (apparently) rapidly graying hair.
When you sit at your desk, however, and try to summarize the year into a few sentences, it all just seems like a blur, and you can’t understand how it is no longer September. Such is the cycle of the school year, and one of my favorite parts is graduation week.
The Class of 2016 and I came to Tomales High School together and will leave graduation wiser and more compassionate, because of our experiences within this community. I am proud of their efforts to make the school a place that they can be proud to call home, full of legacies that will enrich the experience for the students that will follow. I look forward to returning in the fall to continue their good work, as they move out into the world.
Please join us on Friday at 6pm to hear their final thoughts for THS, and to see our community celebrate these brand new adults. We are so proud to present them to you, as they represent all of the best parts of Shoreline Unified School District.
Have a great last week of school, Adam Jennings, Principal
